About the Team: The Mission Systems Engineering Team develops and integrates the hardware and software that enable Hermeus aircraft to execute missions. As a Mission Systems Engineering Intern, you will work across avionics, software, communications, and system integration to help build, test, and troubleshoot mission capabilities. This role is ideal for someone with a strong mix of hands-on hardware experience and software development skills. Spring: Around 16 weeks (January - April) Summer: Around 12 weeks (May - August)

You'll work with C++ and web technologies (TypeScript/JavaScript) to build control systems for both remotely piloted (HOTAS) and autonomous flight modes. This role includes designing and implementing intuitive user interfaces, ranging from hands-on control to point-and-click autonomy management.

About The Role: As a Modeling & Simulation Software Engineering Intern you will work with the software team to develop performant modeling and simulation code for our 6DOF SITL simulation using Julia. You'll Interface with the Flight Software, HMI, and Flight Sciences teams to meet stakeholder needs and ensure accurate results. Your work will involve creating hardware/physics informed software models and validate results with real data. Fall: Around 16 weeks (August - December)

This role will have a strong focus on developing automated tests, maintaining test infrastructure, and ensuring test stands remain reliable and ready to support ongoing flight software development and validation.
