As a Senior DevOps Engineer reporting to Senior Director of Software Engineering, you'll play a critical role in shaping and owning the AWS and Kubernetes platform foundation that underpins a new R&D team focused on responsible AI for global financial markets. Mentor DevOps and software engineers, contribute to solution design and requirements analysis, and champion AI-assisted workflows throughout the software development lifecycle. Drive the adoption of AI-based tooling across products, services, and CI/CD pipelines, and take on Agile process roles (e.g., Scrum Master or Product Owner) as needed to support team delivery. Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience. Several years of experience in DevOps, cloud infrastructure, or a related discipline, with production-level ownership on AWS or a comparable cloud platform. Deep hands-on experience with infrastructure-as-code tooling such as Terraform, CloudFormation, or OpenTofu. Proven Kubernetes ownership including Helm charts, networking, ingress, RBAC, upgrades, and security hardening. Strong experience designing and optimizing CI/CD pipelines (preferably GitLab) and applying Git as the single source of truth across the team. Demonstrated experience setting technical direction, mentoring engineers, and introducing AI-assisted workflows into the software development lifecycle. Preferred Qualifications Hands-on experience with GitOps tooling such as FluxCD or Argo CD, and multi-cloud exposure (Azure or GCP alongside AWS). Experience with Ansible or comparable configuration management tooling, and SQL/database troubleshooting skills. Background in fintech, capital markets, or a regulated industry environment.
