Palantir Technologies Inc. engineers and deploys advanced software platforms primarily for the intelligence community, supporting counterterrorism investigations and operations across the United States, the United Kingdom, and internationally. One such product is Palantir Gotham, a sophisticated software system that enables users to uncover hidden patterns within diverse datasets, from signals intelligence to confidential informant reports. Gotham also facilitates the seamless handover between analysts and operational personnel, helping operators strategize and execute real-world responses to threats pinpointed within the platform. The company also offers Palantir Foundry, a platform that revolutionizes organizational operations by providing a central data operating system, allowing individual users to integrate and analyze their essential data in one cohesive environment. Additionally, Palantir provides Apollo, a software solution for delivering applications and updates across an enterprise, enabling clients to deploy their software in virtually any setting. Its Palantir Artificial Intelligence Platform (AIP) offers unified access to open-source, self-hosted, and commercial large language models (LLMs). AIP excels at transforming both structured and unstructured data into LLM-understandable objects, converting an organization's actions and processes into practical tools for human operators and LLM-driven agents alike. Founded in 2003, Palantir Technologies Inc. maintains its headquarters in Denver, Colorado.

A World-Changing Company Palantir builds the world’s leading software for data-driven decisions and operations. By bringing the right data to the people who need it, our platforms empower our partners to develop lifesaving drugs, forecast supply chain disruptions, locate missing children, and more. The Role Software Engineers at Palantir build software at scale to transform how organizations around the world use data. In this role, you’ll have an opportunity to grow more quickly than you ever envisioned as you contribute high-quality code directly to Palantir Gotham, Palantir Apollo, or Palantir Foundry: products that are deployed at some of the most important institutions across the public and private sectors. You'll create features used by research scientists, aerospace engineers, intelligence analysts, and economic forecasters in countries around the world. Palantir's Product Development organization is made up of small teams of Software Engineers, each focusing on a specific aspect of a product. For example, you might join a team that builds a Foundry front-end application, or a component of the Gotham release infrastructure. We encourage communication and collaboration among teams to share context, skills, and experience, so you'll also have the opportunity to learn about other business areas. Core Responsibilities As a Software Engineer, you are involved throughout the product lifecycle - from idea generation, design, and prototyping, to execution and shipping, all while also being paired with a mentor dedicated to your growth and success. You'll collaborate closely with technical and non-technical counterparts to understand our customers' problems and build products that tackle them. One of the most effective ways to understand what our users need is to meet them. You may receive an opportunity to tour the assembly line at an auto-manufacturer or join a counter-terror analyst at their desk to really understand their mission and difficulties. SWE principles include: • Ownership: We see projects through from beginning to end in spite of obstacles we may encounter. • Collaboration: We work internally with people from a variety of backgrounds — such as other Software Engineers, Product Managers, Designers and Product Reliability Engineers. We also partner with our business development teams (Forward Deployed Engineers, Deployment Strategists) in order to understand and solve our customers' problems. • Trust: We trust each other to effectively handle time and priorities, and don't micromanage. We want people to have the space to think for themselves, while feeling supported by their team. Technologies We Use It doesn’t matter what languages you know when you join us; what matters is that you can write clean, effective code and learn new languages quickly. Our software is constantly evolving, so we need engineers who can do the same. Alongside peers that bring diverse experience - whether you’re a former university Teaching Assistant, switched to computer science recently, or are a hackathon enthusiast — you'll build your skills to apply the best technology to solve a given problem. Right now, we use: • A variety of languages, including Java and Go for backend and Typescript for frontend • Open-source technologies like Cassandra, Spark, Elasticsearch, React, and Redux • Industry-standard build tooling, including Gradle and GitHub

A World-Changing Company Palantir builds the world’s leading software for data-driven decisions and operations. By bringing the right data to the people who need it, our platforms empower our partners to develop lifesaving drugs, forecast supply chain disruptions, locate missing children, and more. The Role Are you passionate about engineering quality, performance, and increasing the impact of engineers around you? Software Engineers at Palantir build software at scale to transform how organizations around the world use data. As an engineer within Palantir’s Foundations organization, you’ll have the opportunity to grow more quickly than you ever imagined, as you build the shared infrastructure that underpins the Palantir Foundry, Palantir Gotham, and Palantir Apollo platforms, and drive investments to improve the velocity and quality of our engineering. Teams within Palantir’s Foundations organization are made up of a small number of engineers, each focused on one of four major categories of our infrastructure: • Backend Infrastructure: Maximizes the productivity of our backend developers and ensures Palantir’s platforms have performant and consistent RESTful services. Think: making the “easy way” the “right way” when developing backend services, including designing infrastructure to build hundreds of micro-service repos performantly, or to ensure we keep reliable audit logs of everything users do in our platforms. • Developer Infrastructure: Operates the systems and services that underpin all aspects of our developer ecosystem, including off-the-shelf tooling like GitHub and custom tooling for managing automated changes across hundreds of repositories. • Frontend Infrastructure: Maximizes frontend developer productivity across the entire frontend development stack, from the developer experience in the IDE to the final user experience in the browser. Think: the core infrastructure required to develop and serve our frontends (including features flags, internationalization, and commit previews), performant build tooling for millions of lines of TypeScript, and the Blueprint open source UI framework. • Storage Infrastructure: Develops Palantir’s database and search systems, which includes supporting storage technologies across cloud, on-premise, and classified or secure environments. This includes evolving our existing technologies to support ever-increasing data scale and latency requirements, and designing the next evolution of our database offering to provide step-change improvements in particular workflows. Core Responsibilities As a Software Engineer in Foundations, your projects may include building features to improve the developer experience for other Palantir engineers, or improving the scalability and reliability of Palantir’s platforms. You’ll be involved throughout the product lifecycle, from idea generation and design, to execution and rollout, all while being paired with a mentor dedicated to your growth and success.
