At a glance Location: Cambridge In-office expectation: Usually once every two weeks, when your team is in Employment type: Paid internship, 10 weeks summer 2027 Why this role exists: To give people heading into their final year of university the chance to spend summer 2027 as a full member of one of our product teams, building software that database professionals around the world rely on. About Redgate Redgate brings together people who want to do their best work in an environment built on trust, accountability, and collaboration. We build solutions that help data professionals securely manage the data and databases that their organisations depend on. It’s a space that’s only becoming more critical as systems scale, data regulations increase, and AI adoption accelerates. AI at Redgate By 2028, Redgate will operate as an expert-plus-agent company: domain experts amplified by AI, delivering customer value at a pace our peers can’t match. AI handles the heavy lifting. Our people control the judgment. Everyone at Redgate works with Claude, giving you access to the best AI tools from day one. Why join our software engineering team? · You’ll join a product team as a full member, working on the same things as everyone else, not on a side project in a corner. · You’ll work in a team that cares about craft, collaboration, and quality. · There’s real support to grow, with your own intern manager for feedback and a buddy for everything else, plus protected time every week to learn and develop skills. About the role For 10 weeks, you’ll work alongside our engineers on real software, shipping features that real customers use. You’ll be part of the day-to-day life of the team, with the support and room to learn what a first role in software deserves. • Pair with engineers, get your code reviewed (and review theirs), and take part in standups, planning and retros. • Work on the same things as everyone else, using the same tools, including AI tools like Claude. • Spend every Friday afternoon (10% of your time) on learning, whether that’s lightning talks, a community of practice or building something of your own. • Last year’s interns merged code in their first week, shipped a feature customers had been asking for, fixed a customer support issue, ran team standups and retros, gave a talk to the wider company, and learned C# and .NET on the job to build their own project. “I didn’t feel like an intern, I really felt like part of the team.” Kris Sananpanichkul, past software intern What makes you a great fit You don’t need to tick every box. We care more about how you communicate, learn and work with others than how many lines of code you write. • You expect to graduate in 2028 with a degree in a relevant subject, and you’re available for the full 10 weeks. • You enjoy software and like figuring out how things work. • You communicate clearly, ask questions, and share what you learn. • You enjoy working as part of a team, including giving and receiving feedback. • You have the right to work in the UK (we can’t offer visa sponsorship for the internship). How to apply No cover letter needed. Just send your CV that includes: • Education: your course and year of graduation • Work experience: anything relevant, if you have it. It’s fine if you don’t. • Something you’re proud of: something you’ve built, fixed or figured out. It could be a uni project, a side project, a game mod, a Discord bot or a tricky bug. It all counts. • What you want from this: what you hope to learn or get out of the internship What happens next? Your application will be reviewed by a person. We don’t use AI or automated tools to assess applications. Every profile is read by one of our Talent Partners. You’ll hear back within a few days. Whether it’s a next step or a no, we aim to respond promptly so you’re not left waiting. Belonging at Redgate We believe that people do their best work in an environment built on respect, fairness, and trust, and that diverse perspectives lead to better outcomes. Redgate is an equal opportunity employer, and we make hiring decisions based on skill, potential, and alignment with our values. Senior Application Security Engineer

At a Glance Location: Remote, England In-office expectation: Flexible hybrid, once in the office every two weeks Employment type: Permanent Salary: £60,000 to £75,000, subject to experience Why This Role Exists Redgate's product teams move fast, across a growing set of AI and cloud-native technologies, and security can't just be a gate at the end of that process. This role exists to embed security expertise directly into how our engineering teams build and ship software: setting the standards, running the threat modelling, and making the judgement calls that keep pace with delivery instead of slowing it down. About Redgate Redgate brings together people who want to do their best work in an environment built on trust, accountability, and collaboration. We build solutions that help data professionals securely manage the data and databases their organisations depend on, a space that's only becoming more critical as systems scale, data regulations increase, and AI adoption accelerates. AI at Redgate By 2028, Redgate will operate as an expert-plus-agent company: domain experts amplified by AI, delivering customer value at a pace our peers can't match. AI handles the heavy lifting, our people control the judgement. Everyone at Redgate works with Claude, giving you access to the best AI tools from day one. Why Join Our Product Security Team ● You'll shape how security works across multiple product teams, rather than enforcing policy from the sidelines. ● There's real scope to specialise in emerging areas like AI security, work most security roles don't get exposure to yet. ● We value pragmatic, real risk reduction over checkbox compliance, so the judgement you bring carries genuine weight. About the Role This role sits within our Product Security function, embedded across multiple product and engineering teams rather than a single one. You'll define and operationalise security requirements throughout the SDLC, from initial design through to release, with real authority to make independent security calls rather than deferring to what a scanner tells you. It's a role built on trust: teams will come to you for guidance, and the judgement you bring to triage, threat modelling, and governance decisions will shape how security actually gets done here. ● Partner directly with engineering and product teams to define and operationalise security requirements across the full SDLC ● Own or co-own application security governance: secure-by-default standards, patterns, guardrails, and risk exceptions ● Lead threat modelling for new features and architectural changes, turning findings into practical engineering work ● Drive SAST/DAST adoption and quality, from tool tuning to severity calibration and developer-facing triage guidance ● Support product teams adopting AI, including LLMs, SLMs, and MCP, giving you visibility into work most security roles wouldn't touch What Makes You a Great Fit ● Hands-on product or application security experience, embedding security practices across a modern software development lifecycle ● Ability to review code and communicate security issues clearly to developers, primarily within a C# ecosystem, with exposure to Java or Python ● Strong knowledge of the OWASP Top 10 and practical mitigation patterns ● Experience implementing or improving SAST/DAST processes: tool tuning, triage workflows, and reducing signal to noise ● Working understanding of cloud and container security fundamentals, ideally with AWS and Docker What We Offer Salary range: £60,000 to £75,000, subject to experience ● Hybrid working: home and Cambridge office ● Monthly wellbeing allowance and generous paid time off ● Genuine investment in learning, development, and career progression ● Private health insurance See our full list of benefits here - Careers At Redgate - Benefits What Happens Next? ● Your application will be reviewed by a person. We don't use AI or automated tools to assess applications, and every profile is read by one of our Talent Partners. ● You'll hear back within a few days. Whether it's a next step or a no, we aim to respond promptly so you're not left wondering. ● Our interview process is straightforward and consistent. You'll find more detail on our typical hiring process below, so you know what's coming and why. At a glance Location: Cambridge In-office expectation: Once every two weeks Employment type: Permanent Salary: £55,000 to £70,000, dependent on experience Why this role exists Everything Redgate does depends on infrastructure that is reliable, secure and simple to run, from the office network to the identity services everyone signs in with. This role sits in Technical Operations’ Infrastructure Team and helps look after those foundations across physical, virtual and cloud environments, while making them easier to run through automation. About Redgate Redgate brings together people who want to do their best work in an environment built on trust, accountability, and collaboration. We build solutions that help data professionals securely manage the data and databases that their organizations depend on, a space that’s only becoming more critical as systems scale, data regulations increase, and AI adoption accelerates. AI at Redgate By 2028, Redgate will operate as an expert-plus-agent company: domain experts amplified by AI, delivering customer value at a pace our peers can’t match. AI handles the heavy lifting. Our people control the judgement. Everyone at Redgate works with Claude, giving you access to the best AI tools from day one. Why join our Infrastructure team? • You’ll work with a broad range of technologies across the whole stack, from networking right the way up to OS configuration and automation. • Our team supports each other, shares knowledge freely and genuinely cares about helping others and enabling the rest of the business to do their jobs. About the role As an Infrastructure Engineer, you’ll help provision, operate and improve the physical, virtual and cloud-based infrastructure Redgate runs on. You’ll work closely with teams across the business to deliver secure, scalable solutions, with a focus on building things that are reliable and then using automation to keep them that way. • Real variety across on-prem and cloud, from networking, virtualization and storage to identity platforms (Active Directory, ADFS, Entra, SSO and MFA) and core Windows and Linux environments. • Ownership of Redgate’s local networks, including WiFi, switches, firewalls and internet connections. • Scope to use scripting (PowerShell preferred) to make work more repeatable and cut down manual effort, alongside monitoring, troubleshooting and backup testing so recovery works when it’s needed. • A trusted escalation point for complex infrastructure incidents and Service Desk issues, working with suppliers, external support teams and the Security Manager to find and fix infrastructure vulnerabilities. • Room for judgement on pragmatic “value decisions”, such as build or buy, physical or cloud, and where it makes sense to standardize. What makes you a great fit • Strong experience designing, operating or supporting traditional infrastructure, including networking, virtualization and storage, plus Windows server administration and core Windows services. • Scripting skills to automate tasks, solve problems and improve repeatability. • Troubleshooting infrastructure issues across network, compute, storage and OS layers, in operational environments where availability, resilience and good incident response matter. • AI fluency, using AI tools to help diagnose problems and deliver work. • Sound judgement in balancing stability, automation and business needs, with the ability to own systems and to work both independently and collaboratively across teams. What we offer • Salary range: £55,000 to £70,000, dependent on experience • Hybrid working: home and Cambridge office • Monthly wellbeing allowance and generous paid time off • Genuine investment in learning, development, and career progression • Private health insurance See our full list of benefits on our Careers at Redgate benefits page . What happens next? • Your application will be reviewed by a person.
