The Role Yubico is looking for a Sr. Software Engineer who is innovative and has a passion for building security solutions and software. You will join our Production and Fulfillment Services (PFS) team. The PFS team develops the software systems that control our YubiKey production, fulfillment, and manufacturing. They build integrated end-to-end solutions for production software to enhance and scale our capabilities and ease of use for our operators and supervisors. Tasks & Responsibilities: Design, propose, and refactor applications and integrations that enable Windows desktop operators to leverage the full capabilities of our custom production equipment. Experiment, create prototypes and refine your work based on user feedback, industry standards, and business needs. Work collaboratively across functions with our Product Managers, Production, Hardware, and UX designers to bring the most user-friendly and streamlined software for our operations. Hone your skills in designing and developing compelling user experiences using native and cross-platform technologies. Expand your technical knowledge of the various security technologies and protocols that YubiKeys supports (e.g, FIDO2 / WebAuthn, FIDO U2F, PIV, etc.). Basic Qualifications: Bachelor or MS in Computer Science or a relevant technical discipline or equivalent experience, including 5+ years of software engineering experience. Familiarity with operating system internals and services, such as synchronization. primitives, efficient file system access, threading and thread safety, and logging facilities. Proven experience of building system software using native and/or memory safe languages such as modern C++, C#, .Net. Hands-on experience with REST API integrations. Hands-on experience using AI tools such as Claude/Codex/ChatGPT. Architecture and design knowledge and experience. Knowledge and/or experience with asymmetric cryptography. Experience with UI Frameworks (e.g., Avalonia UI, WPF (Windows Presentation Foundation) & XAML). Experience working with CI/CD pipelines and hands-on experience with Kubernetes and GCP (or comparable cloud), ideally in production environments. This role has the annual salary range as defined below for a salary pay range for a candidate located in the San Francisco Bay Area. The Role We are looking for a versatile Software Engineer to join our Stockholm-based team to help shape the future of Yubico’s software products. In this role, you will focus on building high-quality, secure applications across desktop and mobile platforms using Flutter, while also contributing to our command-line tools and libraries. As part of our team, you will play a key role in refining our cross-platform strategy. Tasks & Responsibilities: Develop, test, and maintain cross-platform graphical applications using Flutter for Desktop and Mobile. Contribute to the development and maintenance of CLI tools and libraries alongside graphical applications. Take end-to-end ownership of features, from initial design through to packaging and deployment. Collaborate with UX/UI designers to implement intuitive and beautiful user interfaces. Ensure code quality through rigorous testing and maintain full accountability for all code you ship, regardless of how it was created. The Role Join the team in charge of the infrastructure that supports our engineering teams. Working across Sweden and the US, we build and operate secure, reliable cloud platforms and software delivery systems. You will design and operate shared infrastructure, eliminate toil, and improve the developer experience. Our platform runs on GCP, focused on multi-tenant GKE clusters and managed cloud services. We manage cloud infrastructure with Terraform and generate Kubernetes configuration with CUE for GitOps workflows. Tasks & Responsibilities: Design and operate secure infrastructure across GKE and managed GCP services. Build and maintain infrastructure as code with Terraform. Manage Kubernetes platform components and generate their configuration with CUE. Build monitoring, dashboards, and alerts with Prometheus and Grafana. Design least-privilege access controls and use keyless authentication for workloads and automation. Evaluate technologies and make architecture decisions for our shared infrastructure. Build self-service infrastructure to automate processes for the infrastructure team and our development teams.
