About the Role We are looking for a Junior Telematics Software Engineer to join the team driving the migration of our Telematics Control Unit (TCU) software framework from Embedded Linux to Android (AOSP / Android Automotive). Working under the guidance of our senior engineers, you will help build, test, and validate individual pieces of the new Android-based platform — vehicle-network interfaces, connectivity services, and OTA mechanisms — while learning embedded Android development on a real, shipping-bound migration. This is a strong entry point into embedded Android for someone with a solid C/C++ or Linux foundation who wants to grow into platform-level automotive software work. Key Responsibilities Implement and unit-test defined pieces of the Linux-to-Android migration under the direction of senior engineers — HAL glue code, native services, or application-layer components. Support porting of vehicle-network interfaces (CAN / CAN-FD, UDS, DoIP) to Vehicle HAL (VHAL) extensions or AIDL/HIDL services, following the architecture the senior engineer defines. Help build and maintain the Android build system (AOSP repo/manifest, device tree) for the target TCU hardware, and keep local build/test environments working. Run and extend the regression test suite comparing Linux and Android implementations; log and help triage discrepancies. Reproduce and debug issues found during bench or vehicle-level testing, and document root cause and fix. Assist with basic SELinux policy changes and Android permission configuration under review from senior engineers. Keep clear records of what was ported, tested, and verified, to support the team's cutover and audit trail. Learn the existing embedded Linux telematics stack well enough to explain what a given piece of functionality needs to preserve when ported. Roles & Responsibilities : We are seeking an experienced AI Expert who can independently design, develop, and deploy Generative AI solutions and embed AI features into Bosch products. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience building LLM/SLM-based applications and agentic systems on Azure and/or AWS, from proof-of-concept through production deployment. This is an end-to-end engineering role. The candidate is expected to own the full lifecycle of Gen AI solutions — problem framing, architecture, model selection, prompt and retrieval design, agentic workflow development, evaluation, deployment, and monitoring — while working closely with product teams to translate business needs into reliable, scalable AI capabilities. Experience applying agentic approaches within the software development lifecycle (Agentic SDLC) is strongly valued. Key Responsibilities • Generative AI Solution Development (LLM / SLM): – Design, develop, and deploy production-grade Gen AI solutions using Large Language Models (LLMs) and Small Language Models (SLMs). – Build and optimize Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) pipelines, including chunking, embeddings, and vector database integration (e.g., Azure AI Search, ChromaDB, FAISS, Pinecone). – Apply advanced prompt engineering, few-shot / structured prompting, function / tool calling, and output validation techniques. – Select, fine-tune, and adapt models appropriately, balancing accuracy, latency, and cost across LLM and SLM options. • Agentic AI Development: – Design and build multi-agent and single-agent systems using agentic frameworks such as LangGraph, LangChain, AutoGen, or CrewAI. – Implement agent orchestration, tool / function integration, memory, state management, and Model Context Protocol (MCP) based tooling. – Apply agentic approaches to the software development lifecycle (Agentic SDLC) requirements, code generation, review, testing, and documentation automation. – Build Knowledge Graphs for effective content retrieval. – Perform log data analysis and identify anomalies based on log and system-failure data. – Optimize agents and model token cost using LiteLLM Proxy and similar tools. – Apply domain-based fine-tuning and Small Language Models (SLMs) for code generation. – Onboard AI services in the API Marketplace and Gen AI Marketplace. – Understand and apply Bosch compliance and processes for AI solution development and deployment. • Cloud Engineering & Deployment (Azure / AWS): – Develop and deploy Gen AI solutions on Azure (Azure OpenAI, Azure AI Foundry / AI Studio, Azure AI Search) and/or AWS (Bedrock, SageMaker). – Containerize and deploy services using Docker; implement CI/CD pipelines for reliable, repeatable releases. – Apply MLOps / LLMOps practices — versioning, evaluation, observability, cost monitoring, and guardrails — for production stability. • Bosch Product Integration: – Build and embed Gen AI features into Bosch products and internal platforms, working independently as an AI expert developer. – Translate product and business requirements into AI capabilities and prototype rapidly to validate feasibility. – Ensure solutions meet enterprise standards for security, data privacy, responsible AI, and compliance. • Collaboration, Documentation & Communication: – Work closely with cross-functional teams — product, software, QA, and architecture — to integrate AI into the product lifecycle. – Maintain clear architecture, design, and operational documentation. – Communicate effectively with stakeholders and present solution options and trade-offs. Educational qualification: BE/BTech/MCA/MSc/MTech in CS, IT, AI/ML or related field Experience : • 10 to 15 years of overall software / IT experience, with 5 to 7 years of hands-on Generative AI experience. Mandatory/requires Skills : • Strong hands-on experience developing and deploying Gen AI solutions using LLMs and/or SLMs. • Proven experience with at least one major cloud platform — Azure or AWS — for AI workloads. • Hands-on experience with at least one agentic AI framework (LangGraph, LangChain, AutoGen, or CrewAI). • Strong Python programming skills and experience with REST APIs, Git, and Docker. • Solid understanding of RAG, Knowledge Graphs, LLM routing, prompt engineering, embeddings, and vector databases. • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently end-to-end. • Strong communication and stakeholder-management skills. Preferred Skills : • Experience building Gen AI solutions for Bosch software or mechanical products, or in an enterprise product environment. • Experience in full software development and deployment (end-to-end SDLC ownership). • Hands-on experience with Agentic SDLC tooling (e.g., GitHub Copilot, Claude Code, spec-driven / agentic development workflows). • Experience with MLOps / LLMOps, model evaluation frameworks, and observability tooling. • Experience with fine-tuning, model distillation, or deploying SLMs on constrained / edge environments. • Familiarity with Agile methodologies and responsible / secure AI practices.

Define and implement the regional strategy for the use of AI across roles, functions, and development processes in alignment with local and global leadership. Lead and coach associates through the transition into AI-assisted roles, enabling teams to adopt new tools, methods, and ways of working. Advise the regional business unit on AI-related investments, organizational development, capability building, and restructuring opportunities. Collaborate with other U.S. locations and global teams on the development and integration of AI capabilities into Compute Performance products. Create concepts, architectures, and implementation approaches for deploying AI into Bosch performance computers, including AI-powered cockpit and ADAS solutions. Support acquisition activities by providing technical expertise, product development input, and customer-facing guidance on AI software and embedded AI topics. Drive alignment between software engineering, embedded systems, AI development, validation, and product management stakeholders. Promote scalable processes, tools, and best practices for AI-assisted software development, testing, debugging, tracing, and performance optimization. Master’s degree or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, or a related technical field. Demonstrated deploying AI solutions into embedded systems, preferably in automotive or safety-relevant product environments. Demonstrated experience in planning, developing, validating, debugging, tracing, and analyzing performance for embedded AI products. Demonstrated ability to lead the transition from classical software development methods to AI-assisted development approaches. Experience with traditional automotive product development through the complete V-model, including requirements, design, implementation, integration, validation, and release. Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical topics clearly across all abstraction levels, from engineering teams to senior leadership. Analytical and strategic mindset combined with entrepreneurial drive and a strong sense of ownership. Demonstrated experience collaborating and working effectively in global, cross-functional teams. 5+ years of professional experience in automotive software, embedded systems, or a closely related technical field. 1+ year of artificial intelligence or machine learning technical integration and steering for global product development. 3+ years of experience contributing to or leading large-scale global engineering projects across cross-functional teams. Preferred Skills Experience with AI/ML model deployment on automotive-grade compute platforms, including CPU, GPU, NPU, or heterogeneous SoC environments. Knowledge of AI software development workflows, MLOps, DevOps, CI/CD, toolchain automation, and data-driven development processes. Familiarity with cockpit, ADAS, vehicle computing, or other embedded mobility applications.
