Responsibilities You will need to maintain all spaces to agency standards, maintain access lists for scan access. Monitor and enforce agency requirements for Power Space and Cooling in the rooms. Work with Facilities personnel from time to time to stay ahead of the need for PSC upgrades to support newer hardware and customer needs. Assist customers with physical installation and decommissioning of racks of servers, network devices, and comms gear. Work JIRA tickets from SA/NE teams for hardware replacements – warrantied backfill or escorting vendor support techs into the rooms to work on hardware that is under warranty. A typical day will start by catching up on emails and JIRA tickets since you left the day before and working through any issues as well as checking monitoring of machine rooms and walking the floor looking for any alerts or issues.
