Job Title: Senior Oracle Security and AI Engineer About the Role This Senior Oracle Security and AI Engineer is primarily responsible for the Oracle Fusion security architecture, role design governance, oversight of the Risk Management Cloud service and AI initiatives. You will be working on the Zero Trust desktop client , which protects corporate devices by securely and privately sending traffic from those devices to Cloudflare’s global network, which can apply advanced web filtering and advanced Zero Trust policies. Responsibilities include: Taking integration work from concept through implementation: requirements, technical specs, development, testing, and deployment Identifying where AI/LLM-based approaches (agentic workflows, automated triage, code generation) can improve integration design, delivery speed, or operational support Building and/or extending internal AI tooling (agents, skills, MCP servers, automation scripts) that supports the team's engineering and BAU workflows Collaborating with internal stakeholders to translate business problems into technical solutions, whether that's a traditional service or an AI-driven one Contributing to how the team evaluates, adopts, and governs AI tooling responsibly (data handling, model choice, skills, guardrails) As you grow, leading larger initiatives and owning integration/ui/mcp projects, including AI-tooling initiatives, end to end Desirable Skills, Knowledge, and Experience: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent work experience 3+ years of professional software engineering experience Proficiency in at least one backend language (Go strongly preferred; Python/TypeScript also considered) Demonstrated experience using AI/LLM tools to build real solutions, such as building an AI agent, LLM powered automation, or shipping code with heavy AI-assisted development (not just using ChatGPT to write code faster) Experience working with internal stakeholders to solve business problems through integration or automation solutions Experience building RESTful APIs with proper service security practices Experience with observability tooling (Grafana, Prometheus, Sentry, Kibana, or similar) Working familiarity with containerized/cloud environments (Kubernetes, or equivalent cloud-native experience) Experience with serverless computing platform (e.g., AWS Lambda, Google Cloud Functions, Azure Functions, or Cloudflare Workers) Experience with GitLab or other CI/CD tooling Willingness to participate in an on-call rotation with 10+ engineers Bonus Points: Experience with LLM APIs (Anthropic, OpenAI, etc.) Experience with prompt engineering, evals, or AI guardrail/governance practices Experience with business systems such as Oracle or NetSuite Experience working in an Agile Scrum environment Familiarity with Jira and Confluence Familiarity with integration patterns (pub/sub, api-first, CDM, batch processing) Experience with PostgreSQL Experience with Cloudflare Developer Platform (Workers, Workflows, D1, etc.) Compensation Compensation may be adjusted depending on work location. About the role Cloudflare engineering delivers code to production at a tremendous pace, and depends on automated testing to do so without incidents. The SLO team builds and runs the internal platform and tooling that empowers other engineering teams to set up Service Level Indicators (SLIs) and effectively measure their Service Level Objectives (SLOs). This enables all engineering teams to effectively measure their service and feature reliability that verify the interactions between systems and products in production at huge scale. We are looking for a highly motivated software engineer to join our Production Platform Organization. You will build the infrastructure necessary to collect, store, and make reliability data easily accessible for monitoring needs. You’ll need to communicate effectively and proactively with engineers across the company to deeply understand the behaviors of our systems and refine their reliability objectives. You will also work closely with Product Managers and Product Site Reliability Engineers on quality of service measurements for enterprise customers. What You Will Do Build the Platform : Create and maintain production reliability testing infrastructure and availability reporting.
