About the team The Incident Ops team is a global 24/7 team responsible for driving incident response and management from detection to resolution. Lead and improve the team’s operating processes so it can execute effectively and engage well with the rest of Stripe. Recruit, develop, and retain great engineers; support their growth and help build a challenging, supportive, and inclusive team culture. The ability to work effectively across functions, think rigorously, communicate clearly, and make or coordinate hard decisions and trade-offs. Technical acumen to partner with staff engineers on architecture and technical strategy. Experience creating a healthy and inclusive work environment that is both challenging and supportive. Preferred qualifications Experience building platforms, developer products, or large-scale distributed systems. Experience applying AI to software development, engineering workflows, or product delivery, with strong judgment about where it creates durable value. Strong written and verbal communication skills for leadership, users, and company-wide audiences. A strong quantitative and analytical background. Experience leading fully remote or distributed teams.
