For more than a decade we've helped builders move from idea to production with speed, security, and exceptional developer experience. Now we're scaling our products for both agents and people to ship and run software, built in the open and trusted by OpenAI, PayPal, Ramp, Supreme, and millions of developers worldwide. About the Role: Traditional product security teams work one report at a time: a person triages a bug bounty submission, validates it, reproduces it, and hands it off for a fix. That doesn't scale past a certain volume, and Vercel is well past it. Adding more triagers doesn't close that gap. Building the systems that triage at that scale does. This role is about building that system. Your core focus is tooling that triages and validates bug bounty and other externally reported security findings at scale, reasoning about validity, severity, and reproducibility the way a human triager would, but continuously and at volume. And we want to go beyond triage. The real leverage is in connecting a validated finding to its root cause and driving the fix, ideally with the remediation itself proposed or opened automatically for well-understood vulnerability classes. More broadly, this is a mandate to rethink traditional security tooling for how Vercel actually operates: agent-scale testing and automation in place of processes built for a much smaller company. This role also has real scope to build tooling that gives our customers their own security testing capabilities for what they build on Vercel, not just harden Vercel's own surface. Because of this, we're optimizing for someone who wants to build systems, not someone whose background is manual penetration testing. A software engineer with a strong desire to move into security, or a security engineer with a strong engineering background, is exactly who we're looking for. If you're based within a pre-determined commuting distance of one of our offices (SF, NY, or London), the role includes in-office anchor days on Monday, Tuesday, and Friday. If you're located beyond that distance, the role is fully remote. For location-specific details, please connect with our recruiting team. What You Will Do: Build tooling to triage and validate bug bounty and external findings at scale: Design and operate the systems that take in externally reported vulnerabilities and automatically assess validity, severity, and reproducibility, at a volume no manual triage process could match. Push triage beyond pattern matching, into agentic analysis: Build and operate LLM/agent-based reasoning that can validate business logic, auth, and design-level findings, not just match against known signatures. Go from validated finding to root cause: Trace validated findings back to the underlying pattern or class, so the team fixes the reason it happened, not just the one report that came in. Build toward automated remediation, not just automated triage: Design systems that can propose, and increasingly open, the fix itself for well-understood vulnerability classes, with the right human review gates in place. Rethink traditional security tooling for scale: Question which parts of the traditional product security toolkit (manual threat modeling, ad hoc code review, point-in-time pentests) still make sense at Vercel's scale, and build the agent-driven tooling that replaces or augments them. Own and evolve the bug bounty program: Manage the researcher-facing side (scope, policy, engagement) as well as the internal tooling, so every report gets resolved and makes the automated triage smarter for the next one. Build toward customer-facing security testing capabilities: Extend the tooling and automation you build for Vercel's own products into a capability customers can use to test the security of what they build and deploy on the platform. About You: You're a builder first: Strong software engineering background is more important here than classic penetration testing experience. You'd rather build the system that triages a thousand reports than work through them one at a time. We're equally excited by a software engineer who wants to move into security and a security engineer with a strong engineering background; a manual pentesting background alone is not what this role is optimized for. Understand vulnerability triage and validation, even if that's not your primary background: You know (or can quickly learn) how to assess an externally reported finding, reproduce it, and judge severity, and you understand what makes that process hard to scale. Curious about, or already building with, agentic and LLM-based security tooling: You have a point of view on where AI agents can reliably validate, root-cause, and fix vulnerabilities today, and where they can't yet. Root cause and systems thinking: You default to "how do I make this scale to the next ten thousand reports" and "why did this class of bug happen," rather than closing the one ticket in front of you. Comfortable defining a new practice: Agent-scale product security isn't a mature discipline yet. You're excited to help define what it looks like at Vercel rather than inherit a playbook. Web tech stack proficiency: Strong familiarity with JavaScript/TypeScript and Node.js runtime security, and modern web frameworks (ideally Next.js or React and Node-based frameworks), so you can read and validate the code your tooling is analyzing. Bonus If You: Have built or contributed to security automation used broadly across an engineering org, not just for your own team. Have experience running or triaging a bug bounty / vulnerability disclosure program. Have experience testing or securing multi-tenant platforms where customer-built applications run on shared infrastructure. Have built systems that auto-generate or auto-propose code fixes, not just findings. Have thought about what security testing as a product capability could look like for a platform's customers. Hold relevant security certifications or recognitions (for example, OSCP, OSWE, CISSP, or notable bug bounty hall of fame entries). These demonstrate your depth of knowledge, though they are not required. Compensation & Benefits: Competitive compensation package, including equity. Inclusive Healthcare Package. Learn and Grow - we provide mentorship and send you to events that help you build your network and skills. Flexible Time Off. We will provide you the gear you need to do your role, and a WFH budget for you to outfit your space as needed. The San Francisco, CA base pay range for this role is $208,000.00 - $312,000.00. Actual salary will be based on job-related skills, experience, and location. Compensation outside of San Francisco may be adjusted based on employee location. About Vercel: Vercel is the agentic infrastructure company, freeing people and agents to ship what's next. For more than a decade we've helped builders move from idea to production with speed, security, and exceptional developer experience. Now we're scaling our products for both agents and people to ship and run software, built in the open and trusted by OpenAI, PayPal, Ramp, Supreme, and millions of developers worldwide. What You Will Do: Design and build V as the primary agentic interface for getting work done across Vercel, from answering questions and analyzing data to executing complex, multi-system workflows. Build the agent architecture that allows V to understand intent, plan work, select the right skills and tools, recover from failures, and complete long-running tasks reliably. Ship polished experiences across Slack, web, and other surfaces, combining natural-language interaction with rich, interactive interfaces when chat alone is not enough. Develop evaluation, observability, and feedback systems that measure whether V’s answers and actions are accurate, useful, efficient, and trustworthy. Establish primitives that make it easy for teams across Vercel to contribute new capabilities without creating fragmented agents or inconsistent user experiences. Help define what it means for a company to be operated through an agent and turn what we learn building V into ideas and infrastructure that can eventually benefit Vercel’s customers. About You: You have 7+ years of full-time software engineering experience and strong TypeScript proficiency. You are comfortable working across product surfaces and system boundaries, from conversational UI and interactive data experiences to APIs, queues, databases, permissions, and production infrastructure. You care about the quality of AI interactions: context selection, tool use, memory, latency, generated interfaces, uncertainty, and how the system communicates progress and asks for help. You have a track record of openness and adaptability. You have moved into unfamiliar technologies, domains, or responsibilities and learned quickly. This space is changing too quickly for fixed expertise to matter more than curiosity and judgment. Experience with using and building agent harnesses (OpenClaw, Hermes, Pi, etc) is a plus but not required Compensation & Benefits: Competitive compensation package, including equity. About the Role: The CDN Content team is responsible for serving all content that flows through Vercel's global CDN — static assets, optimized images, incrementally regenerated pages, partially prerendered shells, and everything in between — to billions of requests for millions of developers. Our focus is performance: ensuring content is served globally as fast as possible. Caching plays a big role in making that happen, and the team operates a multi-tier caching architecture spanning in-process caches, regional cache services, and object storage across 20+ regions. As a Software Engineer on the team, you'll take on well-scoped projects with real production impact and grow into owning larger pieces of the system. The work spans the serving path end to end, and everything ships through careful, progressive rollouts validated with production data. You'll learn how a planet-scale CDN works from engineers who built it. This is a team where infrastructure meets product: we work in close partnership with frameworks such as Next.js, bringing framework-defined infrastructure to life on Vercel's CDN, and the serving and caching behavior we ship directly shapes the performance and cost that millions of developers see. You'll develop strong instincts for distributed systems, careful production rollouts, and data-driven engineering. If you're based within a pre-determined commuting distance of one of our offices (SF or NY), the role includes in-office anchor days on Monday, Tuesday, and Friday. If you're located beyond that distance, the role is fully remote. For location-specific details, please connect with our recruiting team. What You Will Do: Build and improve the services behind ISR, PPR, and image optimization — working in Go, Lua, and TypeScript across the serving path. Execute well-defined projects independently, from implementation through safe rollout (feature flags, shadow modes, progressive deployment) and post-ship validation. Monitor and maintain your work in production: build dashboards, add metrics and alerts, and develop ownership of what you ship. Contribute to the team's observability and testing surface — the dashboards, log views, and e2e test suites that keep a high-change system trustworthy. Participate in the on-call rotation with support from senior engineers, and contribute to incident follow-ups that make the system more resilient. Collaborate with teammates and partner teams (Next.js, CI/CD) through design discussions, code review, and pairing. About You: 2+ years of experience building and operating backend services in production. Proficiency in at least one of Go, TypeScript/Node.js, or a comparable systems language, and enthusiasm for working across a polyglot stack. Solid understanding of HTTP and web fundamentals — caching headers, request/response lifecycle, what a proxy does. You write code you're willing to operate: tested, instrumented, and documented. Curious about how large-scale systems work, and motivated to dig into unfamiliar code and production data to figure things out. A collaborative teammate who communicates clearly, asks good questions, and follows through reliably. Bonus If You: Have experience with caching systems (CDNs, Redis/Memcached, application-level caches) at any scale. Have AWS experience, particularly S3 or ElastiCache. Have used Next.js or another modern web framework and understand rendering modes like SSR/SSG/ISR. Have experience with observability tooling (Datadog, Honeycomb, or similar). Have experience with Terraform or Kubernetes. Compensation & Benefits: Competitive compensation package, including equity. Inclusive Healthcare Package. Now we're scaling our products for both agents and people to ship and run software, built in the open and trusted by OpenAI, PayPal, Ramp, Supreme, and millions of developers worldwide. About the Role: We’re reinventing how People Operations runs at Vercel — and this role sits right at the center of it. You’ll help us build and integrate Vercel-powered tools that replace legacy busywork with something genuinely fast and modern. If you get excited about composable HR tech and shipping tools people actually want to use, this is that role. You’ll also own and evolve our core Workday integrations, partnering closely with People, Finance, IT, and Engineering stakeholders to keep our HR systems reliable, secure, and scalable. This role blends hands-on integration work with real functional fluency in People Operations — you’ll need to understand not just how data moves between systems, but why our stakeholders need it to move that way. You will report to the Director of People Operations, Infrastructure & Services and will be located in one of our hub locations (San Francisco, New York, or Austin). What You Will Do: Help us build the future -- build and integrate Vercel-powered internal People tools that will define how this team works, and support our push towards a headless HR tech stack Build, maintain, and troubleshoot Workday integrations (EIB, Core Connectors/Cloud Connect, Workday Studio, APIs) that support key People Operations and Finance workflows. Partner directly with People Operations, Finance, IT, and Engineering stakeholders to understand process requirements and translate them into reliable, well-documented integration solutions. Develop working knowledge of core People Operations processes — like hire-to-retire, compensation, benefits, and org management — to inform sound integration and system design decisions. Monitor integration health, troubleshoot failures, and drive fixes in partnership with both technical and functional stakeholders. Maintain clear documentation of integration logic, field mappings, and processes for cross-team visibility. Contribute to testing, security, and change-management practices that keep our HR system integrations resilient as we scale. About You: Experience with generative AI and agentic coding platforms Excited by headless/composable HR tech — you want to build and integrate tools and APIs that go beyond a core HRIS, not just maintain the status quo. 4+ years of hands-on experience building and maintaining Workday integrations using EIB, Core Connectors/Cloud Connect, Workday Studio, and/or APIs. Working knowledge of XML/XSLT, calculated fields, and the Workday Business Process Framework; exposure to Workday security configuration is a plus. Genuine interest in People Operations — you're comfortable learning the functional "why" behind a process, not just the technical "how," and enjoy building relationships with People and Finance stakeholders. Strong communicator who can translate between technical integration details and non-technical stakeholder needs. Comfortable owning discrete integration projects independently, with guidance from senior team members on complex or ambiguous problems. A plus if you have experience using Workday Extend to build applications. Compensation & Benefits: Competitive compensation package, including equity. Inclusive Healthcare Package.
